This is Levi, Calvin & Benny on their usual place on top of me in the recliner.

Just the other evening I was all snuggled up under my electric blanket in my recliner and reading an Abraham/Hicks book.  I have a funny story to share about that moment, that I think may help explain how the Law of Attraction really works.

I have 3 Shih Tzus, Calvin, Levi and Benny; Levi and Benny were fast asleep on the couch.  Normally if I am sitting watching TV or something I will have 1, 2 or 3 of them curled up in my lap.  The book I was reading was quite large, and I had no room for puppies on my lap this evening.

So there I was, all comfy in my recliner sipping tea and reading.  Calvin comes over and jumps up on my legs.  He was trying to crawl up my legs and onto my book.  I told him quite firmly to get down, I said “I don’t want you right now, I’m reading a book!”

No sooner had I said that, and Benny jumps up on me and Levi was preparing to join the other two.

My son says to me, “Mom, you are calling them all”.  I said, no I’m not, I was trying to get Calvin off of me, not the other two on me as well!”

Then my husband pipes in and says “You gave your attention to one, and now they are all coming over”.

So I clear my lap of dogs, and go back to my reading, this is what I read immediately upon commencing my reading:

“Most people believe, or want to believe, that everything in the Universe responds to their words in the same way that other people around them can sometimes be trained to behave.  When you tell someone, “Yes, come to me,” you expect them to come.  When you say, “No, go away from me,” you expect them to go.  But you live in an attraction-based Universe (an inclusion-based Universe), which simply means there is no such thing as no.

When you give your attention to something wanted and you say “Yes, come to me,” you include it in your vibration, and the Law of Attraction begins the process of bringing it.  but when you look at something unwanted and you say “No, I do not want you – go away!” the Universe brings that, also.  Your attention to it and therefore your vibrational alignment with it, is what is causing the response-not your words.”

What a perfect example of the Law of Attraction, what we focus on is what we get more of, whether we want it or not.
