I feel totally the same way as you do. I have no problem referring clients to others! It is really important to resonate with the practitioner you are choosing and if it isn’t me, then I try and point them in a direction that may help them.

It feels good referring people, you do get to meet a lot more friends and contacts that way too.
I know what you mean about the Psych K, I can do basic Reiki, but when someone wants to learn it I send them to your wife! She’s the one that taught me.

Most people try to “hoard” their clients and are afraid to recommend anything to anyone because of fear of losing a client or even of being judged. In the same you describe Reiki, I don’t teach PSYCH-K but I do offer it as a service. When people want to learn it, I refer them to my teacher!

There was an old book on sales by one of the top real estates salesmen in the world that I read about 20 years ago, and in this book he talked about the fact that he focused on giving out like 3-5 referrals PER DAY to different people. He would always ask people what they do, and what makes their business unique, and then he would connect potential clients with them.

In this way he built up a lot of friends who then began referring real estate clients to him. That sort of thing has kind of gotten lost in this age of the “Internet” where people just Google stuff, but I think because of that if you are the type of person who does send out referrals you’ll stand out even more. 🙂
