Why do you quit?

Why do you fail?

Because you start by pushing yourself. 

Rather than feeling good and getting into alignment with what you want, you feel into how things are now… of what you don’t like about your life, of how unworthy you are now. And you try to push through to change things.

You think about what you have that you don’t want. Or about what you want that you don’t have, and you try and force yourself or use ‘willpower’ to make yourself into someone or something else.

Willpower usually involves talking badly to yourself and focusing on where you are not good enough.

We get what we focus on. So, being kind to ourselves and giving ourselves positive pep talks, especially when that is not what we are accustomed to, is what will change us.  It can change us on a cellular and energetic level to where what we want comes closer to us naturally.

In order to make lasting change, you need to change who you think you are.  Forcing yourself into something is unsustainable, because you are still the same person you were when you started. Especially, if low self-esteem is an issue.  You must change who you identify as, in order for lasting change to take place.

Pushing through what you are not feeling never works.  I know a lot of people who appear to be “quitters”.  They get on a tangent about a new business, “This will make me lots of money!”  Or a new diet, “All I have to do is force myself to eat a certain way for as long as I can, and I will have the body I want!!”

If I use myself as an example,  right now, I am overweight.  I have never been on a “diet” and I will never go on a “diet” – EVER.  It would not be sustainable for me, because I would quit eventually.  There are valid reasons why the weight packed on. Things in my life are changing and I will get back to my balance through taking care of myself the way I used to.  I’m not in a hurry, the ‘end-game’ for me is feeling good no matter what my body looks like.  I am working on having my body feel good and the weight can stay or go… either way, I’ll be feeling good.  There will be nothing to “quit” because I will already be living my end-game. (I will say one thing I have changed is I now do intermittent fasting. The thing is when I was young and listened to my body, I was intermittent fasting. Somewhere along the line some ‘expert’ told me I had to eat a certain amount at a certain time and I believed it. Now I am back to listening to ME and MY OWN BODY.)

With my work I just do me ~ who else is there left to be?  What you see is what you get.  I work when I am inspired to work, I don’t push through work when I am not feeling like it.  It’s not that I am feeling perfect 100% of the time.  When I am not feeling my perfectly happy self, I simply take the time to get back into alignment.  If I tried to write or share with you when I was out of alignment most of you would feel it (the majority of people who follow me have gifts of their own and can feel through BS).  You would read my words and think “she’s lying”.  I would lose all credibility with you.

I’m also not big on complaining, so I rarely share with you in the moments I am out of alignment.  That just feels like negative goal setting to me ~ what we focus on we create more of.  I do not ever have what I consider to be “bad days”.  Ever.  I sometimes have sad days, or rough days, or blah days, or tired days. But every day is a good day.  I came here to experience it all, and sometimes contrast helps us appreciate things more.

It is this appreciation of the experience of life that brings us more to appreciate.  And once I am back in alignment I have no problem sharing that I was going through a challenging time, and how I got through it more easily.  I came to earth to help you.  It would not be helpful for me to complain to you. 

It can be very helpful (to you) for me to share with you that I have likely been where you are, and share with you how to move through and past it, so that you an also feel good and continue to manifest your dreams. 

So feel as good as you can in each moment; you have nothing to prove. Talk to yourself with loving kindness, as you would to your child or best friend. Practice lovingly kind and empowering self-talk. Find something to appreciate in where you are now. Focus on that good feeling and add to it ~ what we focus on amplifies and brings us more of the same. Write a story about how good it will feel to get want you want, and all the good feeling things you will do with the getting of it. Stop bullying yourself by plowing through with “tough love” ~ negative self-talk with a focus on lack ~ and allow and relax into your flow instead. Because YOU GOT THIS!!!
